Accra Shepp
Accra Shepp is a photo-based artist living in New York City. He has exhibited in the United States and abroad. His work is represented in such collections as the Museum of Modern Art, The Chicago Art Institute, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Recently, his project “Occupying Wall Street” was on display at the Steven Kasher Gallery, and was also seen in Brussels at the Royal Library of Belgium as part of the Human Cities Festival, 2012. In 1998 he received a Fulbright Fellowship to Indonesia and in 1992 he created a process for printing a photographic image on leaves. He received an MA from NYU in art history in 1986 and a BA from Princeton University in art history and studio art in 1984. He is on the photography faculty at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
