Anita Glesta

A prominent artist in the public space, Anita Glesta has successfully executed several large-scale international projects, including a permanent outdoor integrated landscape sculpture for the Federal Census Bureau in Washington, under the GSA's Art in Architecture Program. Her work is featured in many collections and she has been the recipient of numerous grants, including a Pollack/Krasner Foundation grant, a NYFA Fellowship, a NYSCA New Media Grant, and grants from the Puffin Foundation and the Australia Council.
Glesta has upcoming solo exhibitions at the Sackler Museum in Beijing and the Museum of Contemporary Art Krakow (MOCAK). She has also exhibited and created installations at major art centers and public spaces, including Big Screen Plaza in New York (2012), Five Myles Gallery in Brooklyn (2009), the Museo Nacional in La Paz, Bolivia (2009), White Box Exhibition Space in New York (2007), Chase Manhattan Plaza in New York (2007), and the Black and White Gallery in Brooklyn (2003).
