My work is either explicitly or implicitly grid-based. I work in an intuitive and deliberate way layering over time. I am interested in light and movement and the interaction of structure and gesture, chance and control, openness and containment. Some of my inspiration derives from the light and landscape of my Gowanus neighborhood.
