Laurie Fendrich is a New York abstract painter and a professor of Fine Arts at Hofstra University. Her several solo exhibitions (including a 20-year retrospective that included a 96-page catalog) have been the subject of reviews in such publications as Art in America, ArtForum and The New York Times. Her essays on art and culture appear frequently in The Chronicle of Higher Education. She is represented by Gary Snyder Gallery in New York.
