My artworks are abstractions, usually landscape-based, created by a process that draws equally upon sensory experience and painting's formal elements (color, line, form) to express the essentials of my vision. My primary material is oil paint whose pigment-laden physicality and workability allow me to return to the canvas over and over, mixing memory and reflection, as I simplify images and explore their underlying structure. I am currently independent of gallery affiliation but have exhibited in galleries and public spaces in both U.S. and Europe and have participated in public projects.
